Description

Assists in all aspects of football operations and player safety including off season activities (fundraising, equipment management, summer activities, camps, and clinics).

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist at all practices and games.
  • Participate in and help coordinate off-season program.
  • Assist in managing booth/sideline operations.
  • Game day field prep, coordination of chain crew, equipment check-out, and clean up.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with other football coaching staff to establish and implement the shared program philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught.
  • Cooperates and communicates respectfully to various stakeholders (parents, district staff, media, etc.)
  • Supervise bus trips and locker room, as well as, behavior at away and home games.
  • Maintain sportsmanship and respect to other teams, coaches, bus drivers, and community members.
  • Coaches must keep an accurate record of equipment and uniform inventory as well as maintain, repair, or replace equipment when needed following district procedures.
  • Fundraising and developing relationships with community sponsors.
  • Assist in volunteer coordination and communication.
  • Cooperates in helping the booster club and other organizations that support the success of the athletics department.
  • Follows district policies and procedures.
  • Understands and follows rules and regulations set forth by all govering agencies: state association, school district and league.
  • Participates in training and other activities deemed mandatory by the district to improve coaching performance and enhance student health and safety.
  • Attends athletic department meetings, when required.

 

Qualifications Required: 

  • Football coaching experience
  • Current First Aid Certification or the ability to get certified
  • Ability to attend all practices and games.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member
  • Ability to plan, organize, and work without close supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District personnel and the public
  • Ability to respect confidential information
  • Meet OSAA certification requirements

Other preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience in K-12 setting
  • Skills in operational management (event coordination, logistics, inventory control) preferred
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solution orientated with ability to resolve difficult situations
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficient in Google and social media platforms
